Cellular Services Remains Suspended in Karachi, Quetta and Islamabad Today
Pakistan Telecommunication authority has issued a directive to suspend cellular services in karachi, Quetta and some sectors of Islamabad. "Suspension of cellular services is due to security reasons" said by officials.



Timing of suspension is as follows:

  • Islamabad(G9) -  1 PM to 7 PM
  • Karachi - 1 PM to 12 AM
  • Quetta - 1 PM to 12 AM
There are rumours of large scale suspension of cellular services on 9 and 10th of Muharram. PTA is likely to issue directive for service suspension on Saturday and Sunday.

 PTA sends directives on advice of Interior Ministry.

 Cellular companies are worried about more large scale suspensions in the near future because it is a big loss for them.
